PROGRAMME DIRECTOR / DRAMATURGY

Christian Filips

has been Sing-Akademie zu Berlin’s programme director and dramaturge since 2006. After going to a European School in Belgium, he studied philosophy and German studies at Vienna university. In 1998, he started to publish poetry as well as translations from English, Italian, and Dutch. He worked as a dramaturge for Staatstheater Darmstadt, Universität der Künste Berlin, and Lautten Compagney. In 2002, he received the Rimbaud-Prize from the Austrian radio for his work.
