ASSOCIATION OF FRIENDS OF SING-AKADEMIE ZU BERLIN

The Association of Friends, established in 2004, aims to continue the heritage of the Sing-Akademie in a modern way. With support, both in terms of ideas and financially, it aids Sing-Akademie in its realisation of its musical projects, and with maintaining its significant cultural assets.

For the coming years, the Association of Friends of Sing-Akademie has set the following goals for itself:

• to contribute to establishing a foundation of Sing-Akademie zu Berlin, which will secure Sing-Academie’s cultural assets in the long term,
• annual financial support of a scholarly project devoted to some aspects of Sing-Akademie’s history, especially to the research and extension of Sing-Akademie’s archive, which was returned from Kiev in 2001,
• annual commissioning of a composition.
